Unlike conventional filament winding, ACP's tubes are manufactured by using a unique production process whereby longitudinal fibers are oriented to provide excellent tensile, compressive, and flexural properties. However, additional stiffness is obtained by incorporating longitudinal (zero axis) plys of carbon fiber.
